Childhood

August 24, 2017

Childhood - such a strong word. And with that one word brings such conflicting emotions to so many.

Happiness and sadness.
Joy and sorrow.
Bravery and fear.

When my children look back on their childhood, I pray that they will recognize that Jeremiah and I carved out these very moments - intentionally - to be a family. That the word "family" wouldn't just be a noun to them, but a verb. An action, that contained a purpose.

I hope that by looking at our example, they learned how to be brave in their fear, how to love through all of the hate, and how to have joy in their sorrow. I want them to know that we loved each other, deeply. May they also know that Jesus has a plan for each of them, so that when He calls them to "Come!," they will.
